Which was a better movie, Romeo and Juliet or The Titanic?

First of all, both movies Romeo and Juliet and The Titanic had Leonardo DiCaprio star in them. But were both movies equally as good, or was one better than the other? Personally, I believe that The Titanic was a better movie than the movie Romeo and Juliet. In case some of you haven’t seen either movie, I will summarize what both movies are about.
The movie Romeo and Juliet is based on the play written by William Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet is about a young man and a young woman who fall in love. Some people might think that they have heard this all before, a man and a woman fall in love and they live happily ever after. But the thing is that Romeo and Juliet didn’t live happily ever after. Ever since they met, even since before they met, Romeo and Juliet were destined to have a bad relationship. Romeo’s family, the Montague household, was enemies with Juliet’s family, the Capulet household. No one really knows why the two households are enemies, but they are. So anyways, Romeo and Juliet meet at a party at Juliet’s house. Once they see each other, it is like love at first sight. Romeo comes over to Juliet and starts talking to her. They talk for a little bit and before you know it, they are making out. Romeo and Juliet decide that they are so in love that they want to get married. They hadn’t even known each other for a week. During the time they met and the time after they got married a lot of things happened. For example, Mercutio, Romeo’s best friend, got killed by Tybalt, who was from the Capulet household. Then, since Tybalt had killed Mercutio, Romeo killed Tybalt. Later Juliet’s parents, Capulet and Lady Capulet, want Juliet to marry Paris. Paris is this guy who wants to marry Juliet. Juliet doesn’t want to marry Paris, so she tries to come up with plan so that she does not have to marry him. Juliet goes to Friar Lawrence, who says that he has a potion that she can drink and that will make it seem like she died. She drinks the potion and her family and almost everyone else believes that she is dead. Friar John was supposed to send a letter to Romeo telling him that no matter what he heard, Juliet was not really dead. But obviously, that did not happen and that is where the whole story goes bad. Since Romeo didn’t know that Juliet wasn’t really dead, he started freaking out and went to where Juliet’s “corpse” was. Before Romeo actually went to see Juliet’s “corpse”, he went to get some poison that would kill him. When he finally went to go see Juliet’s “corpse”, he started talking to her dead body and started crying. He did not notice that she started to move her body, so he drank the poison. Juliet woke up right after Romeo had already drunk the poison, so she was too late. So Romeo, who had drunk the poison, was dying right in front of Juliet. Juliet waits for Romeo to die completely, and then stabs herself with a dagger. In the end, both Romeo and Juliet end up dead for real.
The movie The Titanic is based on the real life sinking of the ship Titanic. The movie The Titanic is about, again, a young man falling in love with a young woman. The young man, Jack, was poor and won his tickets for the Titanic in a game. Jack and his best friend board the Titanic and hang out for a while. When Jack and his friends are outside talking, they see the young woman, Rose. Rose is almost the complete opposite of Jack. She is rich and rides first class on the Titanic. She was already engaged to someone else, but she didn’t like him. The only reason why she was going to marry him was because her mom wanted her to marry him because he was rich. Anyways, Jack and Rose meet and they seem to fall in love with each other, but Rose needed to stop talking to Jack because her mom didn’t want her to be talking to him. Later, Rose stops listening to her mom and keeps talking to Jack. They are in love and Rose’s fiancĂ©e gets jealous. While Jack and Rose are having fun, the Titanic crashes into an iceberg. The side of the ship gets hit, and that’s when everything starts going bad. The people on the ship had less than four hours until the ship would sink. The ship only had so many life boats, so they were letting women and children off first. Everything started to get hectic, and some people ended up getting shot by the workers from the Titanic. Over all, Jack and Rose stay together through everything and in the end, Jack freezes to death and Rose gets saved by one of the life boats that came back.

Why did the Capulet and the Montague households hate each other?

Does anyone really know why the Capulet and the Montague households hated each other? In the story of Romeo and Juliet, there isn’t much reason to why the two households hated each other.  All the story tells us is that the two households were in a feud for so long that even they didn’t know what the feud was about. The quote is “Two households, both alike in dignity, in fair Verona, where we lay our scene, from ancient grudge break to new mutiny, where civil blood makes civil hands unclean. From forth the fatal loins of these two foes Do with their death bury their parents' strife And the continuance of their parents' rage, which, but their children's end, nought could remove…”
The crazy thing about it was that if you were a Capulet, or vice versa, you were almost already destined to hate the other household even if you didn’t know anything about them other than that the Capulet household and the Montague household had some bad history. The feud that the Capulet and the Montague households had was an ancient family feud.

Were Romeo and Juliet really in love?

If you have read the play Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, then you know that Romeo and Juliet were very young when they first met. They met when they were both about thirteen to fifteen years old, and they were already in love about one week after they met. Now, I think that Romeo and Juliet weren’t really in love. I think that they liked each other a lot and cared about each other a lot, but that they were not seriously in love. To really love someone, you have to get to know them first and be with them for awhile, while Romeo and Juliet only knew each other for about a day when they decided that they were in love with each other. Isn’t that crazy? Romeo and Juliet had only known each other for about a day when they decided they were in love and they wanted to get married. Not only that, but they hadn’t even been married for a week before they killed themselves. Romeo and Juliet were only married for about four days before they ended up killing themselves.
Although some people might think that Romeo and Juliet were in love because they killed themselves over each other, I still think that they weren’t really in love and that they were just over-exaggerating when they killed themselves. Also, how could Romeo and Juliet really be in love if they weren’t even very mature? I mean, the only reason why Romeo killed himself was because he believed that Juliet was dead. But she wasn’t even really dead. She just drank some potion that would disease her for awhile and then she would wake up. And do you know why she drank the potion? It was because she didn’t want to be married to Paris, the man who her family wanted her to marry. If Juliet had been mature, she would have just told her family that she was already married to someone else and that she didn’t want to marry Paris. Even though Juliet probably would have gotten into a whole lot of trouble for denying her father, that would have been the mature thing to do instead of trying to find a way out of the marriage. Also, since Romeo didn’t know that Juliet wasn’t really dead, he too drank a potion, or poison, that killed him. Right after Romeo drank the poison, what happened? Juliet wakes up, just to see her husband drinking a poison to kill himself. She wakes up too late to save Romeo, so she waits until he completely dies so that she can stab herself with a dagger. In the end, both Romeo and Juliet die. I believe that Romeo and Juliet weren’t really in love, because if they had been, they probably would have gotten through everything and they wouldn’t have had to kill themselves.
